Effective Date: October 5, 2026
Mimblog Edu respects the intellectual property rights of authors, publishers, universities, photographers, website owners, organisations and other copyright holders.
This DMCA and Copyright Policy explains how copyright owners may report material published on Mimblog Edu, available at https://www.edu.mimblog.com, that they believe infringes their rights.
We take legitimate copyright complaints seriously and may remove or restrict access to material when appropriate.
Our Approach to Copyright
Mimblog Edu publishes original educational content relating to scholarships, universities, admissions, study-abroad opportunities and international education.
We may also refer to information obtained from official sources such as:
- University websites
- Government websites
- Scholarship organisations
- Public announcements
- Official reports
- Publicly available educational resources
Where third-party material is referenced, we aim to use it lawfully and provide attribution or links where appropriate.
If you believe content on Mimblog Edu infringes copyright that you own or are authorised to enforce, you may submit a copyright complaint.
Digital Millennium Copyright Act
The United States Digital Millennium Copyright Act, commonly known as the DMCA, provides a notice-and-takedown framework for certain online copyright disputes.
The U.S. Copyright Office explains the requirements for copyright notices and counter-notifications through its official Section 512 guidance.
Although Mimblog Edu may operate outside the United States, we may voluntarily process copyright complaints using substantially similar notice-and-takedown procedures where appropriate.
Nothing in this policy should be interpreted as claiming that Mimblog Edu qualifies for any particular statutory safe harbour unless all applicable legal requirements have been satisfied.
Reporting Copyright Infringement
If you believe material available on Mimblog Edu infringes a copyright you own or are authorised to represent, please send us a written copyright infringement notice.
Your notice should include enough information for us to investigate the complaint.
Information Required in a Copyright Notice
Please include:
- Identification of the copyrighted work
Clearly identify the copyrighted work that you believe has been infringed.
If your complaint covers multiple works, you may provide a representative list where appropriate.
- Identification of the allegedly infringing material
Provide the exact Mimblog Edu URL where the material appears.
For example:
Please provide enough information for us to locate the material quickly.
- Your contact information
Include:
- Full name
- Organisation, if applicable
- Email address
- Mailing address
- Telephone number
- Statement of good-faith belief
Include a statement that you have a good-faith belief that the disputed use is not authorised by:
- The copyright owner
- The copyright owner’s agent
- Applicable law
- Statement of accuracy and authority
State that the information in your notice is accurate and that, under penalty of perjury, you are:
- The copyright owner; or
- Authorised to act on behalf of the copyright owner
- Signature
Include your physical or electronic signature.
Where to Send Copyright Complaints
Copyright complaints concerning Mimblog Edu should be submitted through the contact options provided on:
Website: https://www.edu.mimblog.com
Please clearly identify your message as:
Copyright Complaint
or
DMCA Notice
so it can be reviewed appropriately.
If Mimblog Edu later publishes a formally designated DMCA agent, that agent’s contact information will be displayed on this page.
What Happens After We Receive a Complaint?
After receiving a sufficiently detailed copyright complaint, we may:
- Review the identified material
- Request additional information
- Temporarily restrict access to the material
- Remove the material
- Contact the person responsible for publishing or submitting the material
- Reject the complaint where it is clearly incomplete, invalid or unsupported
- Take other action that we consider appropriate
We aim to act reasonably and in good faith when reviewing copyright disputes.
Submission of a complaint does not automatically guarantee removal.
Incomplete Copyright Notices
We may be unable to process a complaint if it does not provide enough information to:
- Identify the copyrighted work
- Locate the allegedly infringing material
- Verify the complainant’s authority
- Contact the complainant
If important information is missing, we may ask you to provide additional details.
Fair Use and Other Lawful Uses
Copyright law can permit certain uses of copyrighted material without permission.
Depending on the jurisdiction and circumstances, lawful uses may include activities such as:
- Commentary
- Criticism
- News reporting
- Education
- Research
- Quotation
- Review
- Other legally recognised exceptions or limitations
A copyright complaint should therefore take into account whether the disputed use may be legally permitted.
We may consider relevant copyright exceptions before deciding whether material should be removed.
Facts and Public Information
Copyright generally protects original expression rather than underlying facts or ideas.
Mimblog Edu frequently reports factual information such as:
- Scholarship amounts
- Deadlines
- Eligibility requirements
- Admission requirements
- University locations
- Programme information
- Public announcements
The fact that similar factual information appears on another website does not necessarily mean that copyright has been infringed.
However, substantial copying of original protected expression may raise different issues.
University and Scholarship Information
Mimblog Edu may summarise information published by universities, governments and scholarship providers.
Where possible, we link readers to official sources so they can verify current information and complete applications through authorised channels.
University names, scholarship names and factual information may be referenced for identification, reporting and educational purposes.
Use of a university or organisation’s name does not imply ownership, sponsorship or official affiliation unless clearly stated.
Images and Other Media
If you believe an image, photograph, illustration, video or other media file published on Mimblog Edu infringes your copyright, please include:
- The URL where the material appears
- A description of the copyrighted work
- Evidence or information showing your ownership or authority
- A link to an authorised version of the original work where available
We may remove or replace disputed media while reviewing the complaint.
Counter-Notification
If content you submitted or own has been removed because of a copyright complaint and you believe the removal resulted from a mistake or misidentification, you may submit a counter-notification.
A counter-notification should include:
- Your physical or electronic signature.
- Identification of the material that was removed or disabled.
- The location where the material appeared before removal.
- A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief that the material was removed or disabled because of mistake or misidentification.
- Your full name, address and telephone number.
- Where a counter-notification is intended to operate under U.S. DMCA procedures, the jurisdiction and service-of-process statements required by applicable U.S. law.
You should understand the legal consequences before submitting a counter-notification.
What Happens After a Valid Counter-Notification?
Where we process a counter-notification under the U.S. DMCA framework, we may forward it to the person who submitted the original complaint.
Under the applicable U.S. process, removed material may generally become eligible for restoration after 10 to 14 business days following a valid counter-notification unless the original complainant informs the service provider that they have initiated an appropriate legal action concerning the material.
Where U.S. DMCA procedures do not apply, we may use a similar review process at our discretion and subject to applicable law.
False or Misleading Claims
Do not knowingly submit false copyright complaints or counter-notifications.
A person who knowingly makes material misrepresentations in a copyright notice or counter-notice may face legal consequences, including possible liability for damages, costs or legal fees under applicable law.
Only submit a copyright complaint if you genuinely believe you own the relevant rights or are authorised to act for the copyright owner.
Repeated Copyright Infringement
Where Mimblog Edu allows third parties to submit or publish content, we may restrict or terminate access for users who repeatedly infringe copyright.
Depending on the circumstances, we may:
- Remove infringing material
- Disable submissions
- Suspend an account
- Terminate an account
- Block access to publishing features
We may consider both the number and seriousness of copyright complaints before taking action.
Content Submitted by Third Parties
Where Mimblog Edu permits guest posts, comments, submissions or other user-generated content, the person submitting that material remains responsible for ensuring that they have permission to use it.
Submitting material to Mimblog Edu does not transfer responsibility for unlawful copying to us.
Users should not upload or submit material they do not own or have permission to use.
